Fuda # 9 [video] I dream a little dream of you.

[Tsuzuki's sitting on the grass a little outside of town. He's looking for spirits to talk with, but he's having little luck. He plays with his book instead, placing flowers in it so he can press them later.]

I've been thinking about sleep lately. Do you have any recurring dreams? If so, what do you think they mean?

A world war. Really? [It's disturbing and sad that it doesn't just happen in his world.]

What's the Privy Council and the Manifest? We didn't have those in my world.

Well, it's sorta a war between two worlds. 'cept one of them doesn't exist anymore, but the people from it do -- sorta. ... It's all real damn messed up.

The Privy Council, far as I understood it, is a bunch of guys that weren't ever s'pposed to have any power. They just sorta looked after the Church. Now they practically run half the world, and they're a bunch of greedy bastards, always using [ he's thinking Avatars, but he's going to say ] people.

... They're also workin' with the organization lookin' for the Manifest. ... I don't really know so much about that, but let's just say that's the whole reason one of the worlds doesn't exist anymore. And before I was ended up in this place, that's 'xactly what me and my friends were lookin' for.

Sounds like you had to deal with a lot of post-war difficulties. Getting refugees from an enemy world must be taxing for everyone involved.

Is the Manifest so powerful that it can destroy worlds? People might want to kill you if they know you're after it!

Not quite refugees. But, I mean, yeah, more or less. And ... they're sorta the only ones who even know where the Manifest is. And I'm sorta one of 'em.

I don't think I really gotta explain that there's not much killin' involved until they find it. Bein' here is sort of a blessing and a curse, I guess.

Yes, I suppose. Are they planning on continuing the killing after they find it, then?

Avatars is the, uh, accepted term. Really, doesn't make a damn difference to me. I'm just Spada.

Never really thought about that. ... After they find it, though, they're probably just gonna destroy the world or somethin' anyway, so I can't 'magine there'd be much reason to even bother.

I've heard something similar, but it's not like I've been outside to be able to tell. Hey, if you ever did find the Manifest, you could hide it in Luceti. They'd never find it.

Yeah! Like the leader of Arca's this creep, Mathias. She's sorta got like ... a cone helmet, and it's got one eye painted right in the middle. It's so damn creepy. You're better off avoidin' her.

I'm pretty sure you can't just go movin' the Manifest, but that's not a bad idea if you can. ... Still, I dunno if I'd ever come here by choice. The wings are sorta a pain. And I'll definitely have ta pass on the kidnappin'.

[ Hey, while he's on the subject. ] But if you see a kid with silver hair, 'bout this high [ and he gestures without realizing he's just talking over voice -- he's still not very used to this ] and he's either cryin' or stuttering or doin' both, give him a hand, would ya? That's true. A Manifest with wings would look very strange. And the thought of what the Malnosso would do with it...

Mathias would, 'pparently. She's crazy into all the Manifest stuff. No one knows what the hell her deal is, but she never takes the damn thing off. S'like her one eye stares into yer soul, or somethin'.

[ And he is just not even going to comment on the Malnosso getting their hands on the Manifest. He doesn't know much about them, but he knows enough to know that that might be worse than even Arca. ]

He's like a brother to me! Last I saw him, though, he was in pretty bad shape, so I ... Y'know. I just gotta hope that if he ends up here, or wherever he is, or anything, he's gonna be alright.
