[Why, that's strange. Tsuzuki gently nudges his cat out of his lap, so he can go check out who it is. He answers the door, his hair tousled and clothes covered in orange cat fur.]

I am here to give to you a... rather belated Christmas gift. [Spock holds out a small wrapped box...]

[The gift comes as a surprise, which in turn makes Tsuzuki look like a wide-eyed idiot.]

[Eley wasn't expecting quite such a response from his apparent friends in Luceti after his disappearance, but he was still trying to come to terms with what seemed to be many conflicting emotions at the moment. Still, to try to clear his head he decides that perhaps he'll venture a little closer to civilisation... just to take a look.

Sometime during this venture he'll happen upon the temple. He seemed to like it here, so maybe he'll stop a while to reflect on things.

If anyone's around nearby they might notice a Wind Spirit sitting by the river...]

[Tsuzuki makes a point of being useful and sweeping the outside of the temple. But since it's not a full-time job, he still can take time to come and take in the view by the lake. It's then he's lucky to see Eley, and since he knows his friend's gone through some emotional problems lately he walks down to greet him.]

[Oddly enough, Eley hadn't really thought about the possibility of someone greeting him from the temple, so he might seem a little surprised to see Tsuzuki. And... perhaps somewhat embarrassed about his recent behaviour. So much so that he only glances at his friend before looking back to the water...]

[It's funny how many stops by the temple compared to how many stop by his garden. Tsuzuki likes this much better. So when he sees Eley, he doesn't remember that Eley had acted strange earlier. He reacts instinctively at the sight of a friend, leaving the broom by the wall before walking up to him, sitting down by the water.]

[It seems to take Eley a while to come to a conclusion about exactly why he is here after Tsuzuki asks that. Just to relax? To reflect? Was this him reaching out to someone without exactly saying so?]

I... suppose I did. I am always attracted to peaceful surroundings. Perhaps I simply wanted a change from the mountains.

[His wings shifts and folds, while he watches Eley sit down. After the way his friend left a while ago, he's more than a little relieved to see him return. It means a lot to him. If Eleytheria is reaching out without realizing it, Tsuzuki is doing the same.]

[The Spirit couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt as Tsuzuki mentioned that. While he knew there were people on his side in Luceti, he hadn't imagined just how upset they might be at his sudden decision to live alone like that. Now he's not sure what to say about it... he probably looks a little embarrassed too.]

I will return to the mountains soon. This is only temporary.

[He utters finally, despite wanting to say several other things instead.]

[Ever since the day Joshua deposited a feverish, delirious Hisoka on their doorstep, Hisoka hasn't left the house. And it's annoying and driving him crazy. He barges into Tsuzuki's room, slamming a stack of books on the floor.]

I read all these already. Go get me new ones.

[As if yesterday hasn't worried him enough, having a bored partner around isn't really helping.]

How can you have read all of them already?

I never made it to the library the other day. These are old. Get new ones. Why are you questioning me?

What do you mean you didn't make it to the library? You were gone for hours!

I was with Joshua. [Did. They not talk about this? He just assumed since he woke up in his own bed.]

[He scratches his neck, obviously embarrassed. Joshua hadn't said much about it, and Tsuzuki hadn't thought to ask.]

What kind of books do you want?

[He's belligerent and stir-crazy and has no intention of making anything easy for anyone.]

He has to chuckle a bit when he's lifted up off the ground then beams up at his father.] Really?? Thank you, Dad!! [A nod] I am still a little hungry--I bought so milk after school too so we can share it with some milk!

[Tsuzuki ruffles his hair, a sign of affection he's been giving throughout Seto's childhood. He's technically too old to be cuddled that much, but in Tsuzuki's view you were never too old to get hugs.]

Good job. I've been hungry all day, too.

[Carefully setting him down on the ground again, Tsuzuki's gaze flickers around in their small home.]

Hey, did you know there is a prom coming up? Maybe they've talked about it at your school.

[While he may almost be an adult, he doesn't love the affection his father gives him any less than from when he was a child. He's always enjoyed the cuddling, hugging, hair ruffles and all. It makes him happy, so he beams.

When Tsuzuki puts him down, he lets go of him and nods]

Yeah, I've heard a little about it! Some of the people around school have started planning for it already. Are you starting to teach some of them to dance for it?

[The cuddles and easy affection are Tsuzuki's way of showing that he loves his son. He doesn't want him to ever feel alone in the world.]

I was planning on it, since they asked.

[He doesn't have to mention that the extra work means extra money. They can use every little bit they can get, and on the occasions that Tsuzuki gets an extra job he makes sure they have a small feast afterward.]

Are you planning on going to the dance, Seto?

I'll help you teach them if you need help! [Always the helpful son he is. Or at least he tries to be, especially during homecoming and prom season when his father gets extra work. If there's something he wants to be able to do it's help take some of the load off of his shoulders.]

I'm not sure... I hadn't really planned to, at least. [A sheepish smile. To be honest, as much as Seto loves to help teaching people to dance and loves to dance himself, actual school dances were never his thing.] Do you think I should go? [Taking his hand and walking towards the kitchen as they talk.]

You don't have to go unless you want to. But if you had someone you liked, this would have been a good chance to have fun with them.

[He is proud that Seto has grown into an empathetic young man. In this life it's so important to be of help to others, because the world is a cold place if you have no one to rely on. Tsuzuki squeezes his hand.]
