[Tsuzuki has wanted to avoid making this video, but he doesn't see any other way. During the weeks since Hisoka came back from his abduction, he simply hasn't fared well. He's even gotten worse, which made no sense. Now that it's gotten to the point where he can't leave the house any more, he's quickly running out of options.]

This might sound like an odd request, but... I know we have several healers in town. Who are the strongest ones?


[He looks over his shoulder to make sure Hisoka is nowhere around.]

....I suppose doctors could work, as well. The bottom line is, I need help.

I don't know. I... [He drags his fingers through his hair, finally deciding that the truth might be the best option.]

I think it's a curse.

[Having had a deeply personal experience with curses, the man's answer gives him pause. It is possible, he muses, that with use of devil's art, this affliction could be drawn like poison from a wound. Would it be worth his while to apply his efforts?]

Perhaps... there is something that can be done.

[He peters off thoughtfully, lacking a sense of urgency that the unfortunate situation might inspire in some.]

The matter of curses and their... nullification... is not unfamiliar to me.

What do you mean - you worked with curse-breaking before?

[He avoids answering the question directly, remarking upon his ability as a sorcerer instead.]

At its simplest, the devil's art is used to gather dark and demonic energies to a single point.

[Given that this stage is essential to the practice of devil forging, he had never quite considered any other use of it.]

If this dreaded curse is such that I might draw it from the body of your partner in this manner, then I could disperse it... rendering it harmless.

[He finishes with a thin smile.]

[That sounds too good to be true. Way too good to be true. But hope is a funny thing, making people do crazy things. It's the reason Tsuzuki grips the journal tightly and says:]

Please. If you could do that.... It would mean the world to him, I think.

[And 'twould mean little to me, he muses, amused by that desperate edge in Tsuzuki's voice.] I suppose I could attempt it. [He drawls almost boredly, regarding the screen steadily and unblinking.] ...out of the kindness of my heart.

Would you? That would be amazing.

[It's so easy to hear the disbelief and relief in his voice.]

Are you sure there's nothing I can do in return?

[It's a strange position to be in, with a human (or someone who seemed human, at least) placing their faith in him to do good.]

Oh, there most certainly will be in time. I should hope you will remember it. [For I shan't forget.] But for now... there is a slightly more pressing matter that needs attending.

[Namely the actual attempt to neutralize the curse.]
