[The feed is currently showing the living room of number 49. Tsuzuki's up on a small ladder, trying to fasten a birthday-banner to the ceiling. Hisoka's birthday is today, and he's planning on surprising him with cake and presents. His poor partner's been feeling so down lately, Tsuzuki hopes that this might distract him from his gloom.]

Does the banner hang right? I couldn't tell when I was up there.

Do you think Sheik will be okay with us using the living room for this? I know the two of you've had a hard time since Duo was kidnapped.

Since Hisoka won't eat cake, at least Sheik will get something sweet today.

[Sometime after everything's been set up, Hisoka returns at his usual pace. He was expecting to slip inside and steal up to his bedroom without speaking to anyone like he usually does, with the added bonus of not having to explain why a ferret was doing concealed inside his jacket. [It takes a moment before Hisoka receives his answer, but when he does it's with a handful of confetti thrown over his head. Tsuzuki jumps out from his hiding spot.]

[No need - Link emerges out of the kitchen, holding two trays - one with dumplings, the other with cupcakes. (They have pink frosting.) Setting them on the table, he gives Hisoka a grin.]

Yeah! Everyone should get a proper birthday, right? Also, I got some pastry things with bits of meat and cheese in them as well. They're not sweet or anything. [Even if he thinks Hisoka is seriously missing out.]

[And then there is ruffling and attention and PINK FROSTING. Who decided this would be a good idea to perform as an annual ritual?? He tries to address Tsuzuki through gritted teeth.] I thought you promised not to make a big deal out of this. Why did you go and get everyone involved?

[Tsuzuki watches Sheik tear the hat off, and is about to object. Then he remembers that with Duo gone, their little group is in pain. He places a hand on Sheik's shoulder tentatively, offering comfort.]

Sheik. Will you please stay downstairs with us? Link and I got enough cake for everyone.

[Sheik looks almost as though he might decline. But, Tsuzuki looks pretty hopeful. He turns over the hat in his hands, then nods. Oh, all right, he'll stay for a little while at least. Although he's none too keen on the cake idea. Unless it's chocolate flavor. Then he might be interested.]
