It's called Restless Sword. It's the second most powerful spell I know; the most powerful is Shade Imperial. However, it takes longer to cast, meaning it's riskier to use in battle.

It does sound riskier, if you're used to dueling or fighting one-on-one. Are you?

Actually, I'm not used to fighting in real battles at all, only sparring matches.

For me it's the opposite. My job means I have to focus on defense, but I don't get too many chances to spar.

I investigate murders, among other things. Sometimes that's not safe.

I don't have a job at the moment; my family was rather well-off, so there was no need for me to work while I was growing up. Lately I've been focusing my energies on my studies instead.

So what kind of studies are you focusing on? Those usually say a lot about a person.

Politics, mostly, along with some history and literature. My father felt that it was important to be well-read in a variety of subjects, not just the ones that interested me, so he encouraged me to read as much as possible.

Your father was smart. Sounds like you've gotten a quality education. History is one thing I like to read about, if I can choose, but I can't say I've delved too much into literature.

Out of curiosity, did your dad want you to go into politics?

My family has been in politics for generations. I can't imagine doing anything else, nor would I want to. I suppose you could say that it's my destiny.

Sometimes it is, but other times I find myself wondering what my life would be like if I didn't.
