Fuda #39 [video]
Just how long can someone stay dead here? Draco has been gone for over a week and he still hasn't come home.
[He sighs, running his fingers through his hair. It's worrying. Hisoka won't take it well if Draco doesn't return soon, and he doesn't know how much his sensitive partner can take.]
[Already regretting he put his thoughts in the journal, he changes the subject.]
Anyway. Welcome to town, new people. I'm Tsuzuki. If you need any help finding a place to stay, or just want to find a temple, I'm always around.
[In fact, if anyone is out to find him, they will be able to find him just where he'd sending the video from, the Tsukino Shrine. Later in the day he will take a walk in the woods to clear his head.]

[He cracks an easy laugh and reaches out with a gloved hand to pat Tsuzuki's shoulder. It takes a great deal of restraint not to reach back and smooth his feathers down, but Zev manages it. Besides.
When they're all fluffed out it is somewhat adorable.]
Hunting. I was tracking a doe for the past hour, but I think I've found more fascinating prey.
[action] i'm so sorry he's so dumb
[Instead he looks onto Zevran's eyes. They're nothing at all like Muraki's eyes. These are the eyes of someone he could grow to like, even trust.]
Do you always look for prey out here?
[action] it's part of what makes him adorable
[While there is an edge to him- there always will be, sadly, it's not one twisted into something violent. It's wrapped in mischief and flirtation and an easy grin.]
[action] awww. <3
[He smiles warmly, reaching up to touch him but thinking better of it. There's a strand of pale hair that falls into of Zevran's eyes, and Tsuzuki wants to brush it aside to see if it's as soft as it looks. He'll think about why, later, when the denial isn't working in full.]
[Instead he uses a hushed, cheerful voice, as if he's sharing a secret.]
I know of a bird's nest not too far from here. Come on, I can show you.
[action]
[He wasn't even hunting for a meal. Tracking is familiar and comforting for it, and such a chase and encounter was an ideal end to this particular hunt. Though finding Tsuzuki instead was more than welcome.
The aborted gesture pulls a puzzled sound from Zevran, an incline of his head, a faint quirk to his brow.]
Oh? This I would like to see.
[action]
He had reached out and touched him with no problem, hadn't he?Tsuzuki pulls him along as quietly as he can (which is not that quiet, all things considered) until they can see a nest with two grown birds in it. They show signs of being fed through the summer.]
There they are. They came close to my garden when they had eggs. Their babies are all grown now, though.
[action]
They weren't crows, and for that he's glad. The fragility of the birds and the compassion presented by this man is interesting to him. A gentle soul. He'd gotten that impression from him when they'd met.]
And you continue to care for them, yes?
[action]
[Tsuzuki turns to the elf, eyes shining with contentment since he got to share the secret with someone. Someone that could appreciate how rare and precious it would be to be able to gain a wild animal's trust, nonetheless.]
Yes, now and again. It would help if they could come closer to my house, though.
[action]
[His eyes flick back to the birds, a soft, somewhat fond smile curling over his lips.]
There is something to be said for the beauty of a free bird.
[action]
You're right. But I don't think you can really appreciate the beauty of freedom until you know what the alternative is.
[action]
[He quirks a brow at the taller man, puzzled.]
Even if they might appreciate their freedom more afterward...something is lost. Something that cannot ever be regained. [His voice dips into something soft, distantly pained.] Bars linger even after one has been set free.
