[Tsuzuki jumps out of his chair, putting his journal down briskly. From the camera's view, it looks like the world is turned upside down.] Poor Cake!

[The kitten is nowhere in sight. A confused mewling comes from beneath the couch. Why did the ground try to swallow him, humans? D:]

I wanted to have a recording of him from when he's small and -ouch! [Apparently hands look like toys when they're under the couch. At least to kittens.] Harmless.

[Why so sadistic, Hisoka. Tsuzuki cups the little furry creature, helping it back out. Cake is mewing quite loudly, looking for Mommy or Human-mommy, which is wht he's dubbed Hisoka in his young mind.]

I trust recorders more. Besides, this allows others to see it, too.

[He rests his shoulder against Hisoka's thigh. It's an easy way for Cake to walk between them, but it's also a subtle way to offer reassurance through body contact.]

[Tsuzuki squirms with confused guilt at that comment. He remembers Hisoka being a bloody mess after the demon possession, but he can't remember what happened. He picks Cake up and cuddles him.]

[While a part of him really wants to ask questions, Tsuzuki knows he won't like the answer. It's a little surprising that Hisoka doesn't bring it up. Then again, his silence means that Tsuzuki has reason for feeling guilty.]

I really hope we'll never get drafted again.

[He doesn't bring it up because he knows it'll crush Tsuzuki. And for what? To relive something he's trying to swallow back? No thank you.]

The only way to be sure about that is to find a way home. Otherwise, it's not a matter of having a choice.

It's not something that can be helped. [That cat is getting a stare, though. what is this foolishness? Little Emperor, Hisoka is disappoint.]

[Little emperor is practicing looking down on people, even if he wouldn't think about it that way. His thought process was basically, say that look like a good perch. Cake blinks his eyes slowly. Tsuzuki shrugs as carefully as he can.]
