No, but this kid might have some. Sheik, was it? [The voice becomes distant as he turns to kid!Sheik for a moment.]

He doesn't want anything, either.

[There's some distant rumbling around the kitchen window.]

Later. [Rumbling? That is strange. He walks into the kitchen, pulling out some drawers until he located a clean, long knife.]

[After all, who says he can't have some fun before the brat comes home? And Sheik looks very vulnerable when he's so small.]

[And since all that ruckus was Hisoka letting himself in through a non-frontdoor entrance, he's there to watch, pressed still against the wall and regarding his partner with a level stare. He feels nothing from Tsuzuki, and that confirms just about everything he'd been fearing.] ...What're you planning on doing with that knife, Tsuzuki?

[He's admittedly surprised by the entrance, but not more than what he had been when he found out Hisoka was alive. The brat was resourceful, he'd give him that much. So, he turned Tsuzuki's purple eyes towards him, and smiled.] I'm so glad you asked.

[Holding the knife in his right hand, he saunters closer to the wall Hisoka's leaning against.] One of us has to prepare dinner tonight. I thought we could have...[His gaze flickers to Hisoka's wings, only for a moment. More surprises.] fowl.

[This brat is also very pointedly staying still. If this is what he thinks this is, even the slightest hint of fear would prove disastrous for him. He'd still rather not accept that invitation to be dragged down to hell with you, Sargatanas. So sorry to stand you up.] I try not to eat meat when I can help it. There must be a vegetarian option you haven't considered.

[What, he doesn't trust his demon-possessed partner? What is the world coming to. And that offer is still standing, Hisoka. Now within range, Tsuzuki raises his empty hand towards him.]

[What would be more satisfying, strangling the boy or plucking him first?]

Like what?

[And now there is a gun shooting a hole clean through that hand trying to reach for him. No touchies.] Like you backing the hell up and telling me which demon's come to try avenge Sargatanas today.

[Fuuuuu where did Hisoka get that? He cries out in pain, and draws the bloody mess of a hand back, coldly furious.]

Avenge me? Awfully cocky of you to think you could ever kill me, shinigami.

[Casually, he brings his injured had up to his lips. He tasted the blood.] How did you survive?

[Since day one at Luceti, he's always kept a gun concealed at his waist. It only took a year to get some use out of it.]

Shinigami don't die as easily as you seem to think they do. You do realize that I can't let you go free to murder innocents, don't you? [Although WTF WTF HOW IS THAT SARGATANAS WHAT THE HELL LUCETI THAT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN EVER GHSDJHDFLHJFKLK.]

[Better late than never? Sargatanas smiles humorlessly.]

And how are you going to stop me? [As he finishes his sentence, he throws his hand up. He's still clutching the knife he chose, and aims it at Hisoka's arm to ruin the teenager's ability to hold his gun.]

[And as the knife comes down, he shoots again, this time at Tsuzuki's shoulder with a similar intent. His aim is shifted slightly as the knife sinks into his arm though, and he releases a pained hiss despite his best efforts to hold it in, smoking gun quivering from the effort he makes to continue clutching it while a chill spreads through his upper arm.]

[Gasping with pain, he takes a step forward, pushing his good shoulder against the smaller shinigami. It's a good way to pin him against the wall, despite being poorly thought out.]

[The tears that leaks out of the corners of his eyes (being shot clean through the shoulder, and breaking some of the finer wing bones hurts.) looks out of place on such an angry face. He turns to Hisoka, despite the pain shooting through his body with each breath.]

Do you... want to know how I will kill you this time?

[He's not nearly the right size to fight against the pinning, and certainly not now that the fingers on his right hand have stopped obeying him entirely and let his weapon slip away and noisily clatter on the floor.]

Not interested. You're not going to get a chance to do it.

[If nothing else, Tsuzuki's pin brings him close enough for Hisoka to reach out with his left hand and twist the base of Tsuzuki's injured wing.]

[GOD DAMNIT THAT IS PAINFUL. His knees nearly buckles from the pain, which makes the demon furious.]

[He curses in a hissing voice, twisting away from the shinigami. At least now the bullet hole in his hand has stopped bleeding, so he reaches for Hisoka's neck. Strangling the brat might not be as clean as killing him with a knife, but it'll do. At least until he can find a way back to hell.]

[And from there, it becomes a bit of a waiting game. Hisoka struggles to continue applying pressure even after the air stops coming, determined that this demon would fall long before he runs out of oxygen. Dead people don't need to breathe. He can do this. It's just a little petty air. He can go without. ...Right?]

[Who the hell designed these wings to be this sensitive. Sargatanas would like to ~~cut them in half~~ have a strong word with them.]

[For once, Hisoka is the lucky one. The pain shooting for the abused wing is too much. His hand loosens the grip on Hisoka's neck, as it stops listening to Sargatanas altogether.]

[Normally, Hisoka would be inclined to agree about the wings, but in this case it's a small miracle. He takes deep, throaty gasps of air the moment he's able, shoving back at Sargatanas and reaching down to recover his gun. He's not scrambling. It's just your imagination.]

Damned brat! [He plans to aim a kick towards the shinigami, because he has to clutch his painful arm, just until it's healed a little. Like Hisoka, he also has to take a few, deep breaths as he tries to keep his balance. He stomps towards him again, both thrilled that there's fight in the boy and furious that he's so stubborn.]

[The kick hits a little harder than it probably should have, delivering a sharp crack from his ribcage. The force of it sends him landing hard on his side, sprawling within arm's reach of the lost weapon. He grasps it with his left hand and fires off two shots blindly in Tsuzuki's direction, hoping the short distance between them would make up for the precision lost with his nondominant hand doing the firing.

[He staggers once the kick is delivered, because having only one wing throws off his balance. But the bullets? Not even Tsuzuki's latent magic could have saved him there.]

[One bullet misses him completely, but the other hits his thigh, making him yell with the pain and double over on the floor.]

[Damn it shoulder why are you not healed yet? Hisoka grunts gutturally as he sits up despite the shooting pain in his abdomen and struggles to force his left hand to shoot properly at the base of Tsuzuki's already-injured wing. Sorry, partner. It's for the best.]

[The feathers fly off from the shot, and slowly float down like bloody snowflakes. The wing, or what's left of it, lies on the ground.]

[But it works. The demon pants. Sargatanas feels the strength bleed out of him, as the pain throbs through him. He steadies himself by holding onto the floor, glaring hatefully up at Hisoka. His injured shoulder and thigh heals slowly, so he has to wait before he can get up.]
