Fuda # 11 [Action/Video] Happy birthday, grumpypants.

[The feed is currently showing the living room of number 49. Tsuzuki's up on a small ladder, trying to fasten a birthday-banner to the ceiling. Hisoka's birthday is today, and he's planning on surprising him with cake and presents. His poor partner's been feeling so down lately, Tsuzuki hopes that this might distract him from his gloom.]

[...okay fine, he's coming closer to Hisoka's hand though he's staying away from Tsuzuki now. Tail ;;. He sniffs at the shorter boy's fingers briefly before just staring at him. Well? What do you want me to do now? Maybe roll over? Because that's totally happening now.]

[You stupid, derpy ferret. Hisoka reaches out to grab him and ~~maybe steal a little cuddle because he does so love little soft things but in a terribly closeted way~~.] The matter is that he's a ferret, Tsuzuki.

[Tsuzuki thinks that ferrets must be the worst drama queens of the animal kingdoms. Mostly because of the rolling.] What do you think he's saying? It looked like he was trying to say "you're killing me here. Look."

[Actually, Tsuzuki, that's pretty dead-on. Draco stops rolling once Hisoka grabs him and immediately trills a little, snuggling and wriggling in Hisoka's hands. YAY ATTENTION.]

Damned if I know. You're the one who talks to animals. [Aww. There's snuggling. ...Can he keep you, Ferretco?]

But Draco's not a real animal. I thought he'd act more like, well, Draco. [He pulls Hisoka up on the bed again, now that he's gotten a hold on the ferret. You two are terribly cute. Tsuzuki wishes that Draco could stay a ferret for a while, he's much nicer in that form.]

[Oh Tsuzuki. Draco's going to be stuck for a while, believe him. He's nicer because he's letting his animal-brain take over versus the human brain. He's fine with Hisoka keeping him for a while, but Harry might get mad. So for now, he's snuggling a little before wriggling to climb up onto Hisoka's shoulder and headbutt him in the chin. Hiiii thank you. Can we focus on me now?]

[He lets Tsuzuki draw him back to the mattress, and almost settles back into a comfortable cuddle when Draco starts being squirmy and annoying again. Oh damn it ferret we were relaxing.] He seems real enough to me. I think if he was more himself I'd be able to feel -- What now, Draco? Are you still hungry?

So he's simply forgotten how to control the animal body? [Relaxing is nice, but Tsuzuki can understand that Draco might not want to get comfortable in his new skin. He reaches out to play with him with one hand, to see if the ferret will allow him to do so.] Maybe he's just bored. He did eat a lot of sugar just moments ago.

[Draco sniffs at Tsuzuki's hand carefully, not really sure he wants to trust the one who just STEPPED ON HIM. Or something. He is rather bored though, so he's busy rolling around in Hisoka's lap and hitting at Tsuzuki's hand. Fix thiiis or play with me.]

Could be. The Draco I know doesn't really convulse like this. [Damn it, active ferret. If we pet you more, will you settle down??]

[Tsuzuki tickles the ferret's furry stomach with a finger.] He seems really taken with you, Hisoka.

[There's a pleased noise and some more wriggling. All of the above are true. He'll settle after he gets his share of affection, and well, even as a ferret Draco associates Hisoka with one of the two bff slots he has available.]

He's just greedy for attention. [Though he wouldn't really say it's not nice absently snuggling up against Tsuzuki's side with something cuddly in his lap. This is also probably the only way he'll ever manage to get his bro and his partner to be at all comfortable in the same breathing space. Pardon him while he privately cherishes this moment. It's a rare kind of birthday happiness.]

I don't mind giving him some. [Tsuzuki finds it cozy, too. For the moment he's just happy to play with Draco and cuddle with Hisoka. There's still cake and gifts and turning Draco into a human to think about, but for the moment he's content with this.]

Do you think Draco knows how to do tricks?

[Hisoka's...pretty much right about that. You're such a good bro, knowing exactly how he ticks. He loves attention, but he also probably would not tolerate being here in any other situation. He was rolling a little in Hisoka's lap, just minding his own business, when Tsuzuki asks that question. He freezes and just stares. Tricks? Did he look like a pet?]

[Yeah, Draco's not the only one staring. Dude. Tsuzuki. Seriously.] No he does not do tricks. He wasn't raised in a pet shop.

[Tsuzuki looks apologetic.] Of course. I wasn't thinking. Byakko does tricks when he's bored, that's why I thought Draco might like it.

[There's an inquisitive squeak though. Who's Byakko?]

That's because Byakko's weird. [And a tiger. And an idiot, but he's got big enough teeth that we're not going to press the issue.] Draco hasn't been stuck in an animal body for thousands of years. I don't think he's had time to get that bored yet. [Nor would he ever, thanks so much.]

He's not stranger than any of the other shikigami. [He smiles fondly, remembering home. It's been a long time since he's been without his shikigami, and it's a little lonely.] I hope not. I want to sit here a little longer.

[Thousands of years? Merlin no, let's not leave Draco as a ferret for that long. He wriggles and slams his head into Hisoka's hand to try and emphasize that point, but otherwise he rolls into a comfortable position and just sits, staring at Tsuzuki. Hisoka is mine currently. You cannot has.]

[He's not going to object to the sitting, since furry Draco is furry and pleasant. Though he's assuming that the head-into-hand thing is a request for pettings, so have some more of those.] You don't have to ruin everything by talking about it all the time. Just pet the wings and keep your mouth shut. Is that really so hard, Tsuzuki?[]

I'm not ruining it! If I stopped talking you'd end up missing it, so there.[Possessive ferret is possessive. Tsuzuki has to see how far that goes.]

[So he wraps an arm around Hisoka's waist, letting his hand drop accidentally-on-purpose near Draco. Just to see if he responds.]

[Ferretco looks at that arm around Hisoka's waist, briefly glancing at Hisoka before not-so-accidentally biting down on Tsuzuki's thumb. Take THAT.]
