Fuda # 6

[idealism]

[It's a beautiful, sunny day. The temperature is apparently between "boiling point" and "molten lava", and every sane person is inside, hugging their air conditioner.]

[Except for this guy. Tsuzuki is searching the grass outside House 49. He looks downright distressed, sitting on his knees and brushing his fingers through the lawn and dirt. When he's down with one patch, he hurries to the next one, not caring much about the heat even though his body does.]

It has to be around here somewhere...

[James is also SUICIDALLY STUPID outside in the heat, his body doesn't seem to mind it for some reason, hell if he knows, but the little dude scuttling around.. looking for something? Was pretty interesting.]

[Tsuzuki realizes he may have overreacted, but he was a little surprised at seeing, well, anyone out.]

[It may be a hot day to everyone else, but Kohaku doesn't even notice the heat, hence the three-ish layers of clothes, and her standing out in the sun, just watching him look through the grass.]

[Tsuzuki sees her shadow before he hears her voice, so he quickly covers his wrist before he looks up. Why hasn't she collapsed from heat stroke yet. :|]

[Partner, why are you so distressed at high noon when Hisoka's decided to be exclusively nocturnal for the summer? It's impossible to stay asleep in light of that kind of frantic. Hisoka's instead going to lean out through the second-floor window of his bedroom.] What is so important? You know I can't sleep through that. [Nevermind how being that physically distant from anyone else wouldn't phase him; he keeps a psychic eye out for Tsuzuki in case of danger.]

[It would be easier just to put a bell around his neck. ♥ Tsuzuki jumps at Hisoka's voice and abruptly turns around. No one's told him about the empathic tracking system, so he just figures he's been incredibly telepathically noisy.]

I'm sorry, 'Soka! I was just weeding in the garden and now I've lost my watch. [It sounds like such a small thing to worry over when he says it out loud, but he can't bring himself to mention that the watch was his only way to hide his suicide scar.]

[But bells would be extra annoying. Keeping a link out to Tsuzuki is easier now than it was back before he came and Hisoka was constantly stretching himself as far as he could just in case a wild Tsuzuki were to appear.]

How the hell did you manage that? Did the strap come loose? [Hisoka doesn't need his power to understand what Tsuzuki's saying without him having to say it. It keeps him from belittling the severity of the search.]

[Sheik is perched in a downstairs window, staying well out of direct sunlight. He likes sunshine, but not to the point of it being physically painful for him. He reacts with some surprise when he sees Tsuzuki out there. You're going to make yourself sick doing that, Tsuzuki.]

[Sheik disappears from the window a minute, then comes back with a bucket and opens the window. He throws the water out, and with a little help from Kipinn, directs it at Tsuzuki. If you're going to be out there, at least cool off a little. :|]

[Tsuzuki yelps at the water hits him. Of all the things to happen today... He gets to his feet to talk to the blond, and only then feels how much energy he's spent.]

[Sheik simply stares from his spot at the window, the bucket sitting beside him on the windowsill. He lets the wind dance around Tsuzuki, drying him out a little, and hopefully helping him cool off a bit.]

[Hermione's walking around with a wand. She's actually on her way out to one of the lakes or back from it, she's not even sure at this point; everything keeps blurring together. She spots Tsuzuki on the ground and walks over. She actually likes him, the little she's seen of him, and it reminds her that she needs another DA meeting. Especially since what happened to Harry.]

Is something wrong?

[She looks a bit worn out, still, better than she's been, but still not quite up to her normal amount of energy. And she stops a good distance away from Tsuzuki, which is probably the biggest hint.]

[Tsuzuki lifts a hand to shade his eyes. Hermione kept a respectful distance, so for a minute he wasn't sure whether or not she was speaking to him. Tsuzuki doesn't know about her recent trip into Harry's nightmareland, though, so he simply presumes she's weary because of the weather.]

Hermione? No, no! I've just lost something.

[Then it clicks together in his mind.] ....Why do you have your wand out?

[She hadn't even noticed she'd had her wand out and she blinks down at her hand for a minute.] I hadn't noticed. I guess it became second nature again.

[She moves to stow it in her pocket, but frowns as it sinks in.] What did you lose? Maybe I can use a Summoning Charm.

[Since House 49 is so close to CH #4, Richard spots Tsuzuki seemingly searching for something as he returns from the store.]

Did you drop something, Tsuzuki?

[Tsuzuki heard him speak, but he didn't hear exactly what Richard said. Besides, he's feeling protective. Dusting off his pants as he gets up, he quickly moves toward the blond.]

Richard! What are you doing out? You should be inside where it's cool!

[Well, this is a bit unusual... he's used to being scolded like that by Naoki, but it seems to be contagious today.]

I was just getting a few things from the store for dinner. The heat isn't that bad as long as you stay in the shade for the most part and drink plenty of water.

[And he's got short sleeves on and his hair up in a ponytail-- he doesn't look like he's overheating at all.]
