idealism | Fuda # 11 [Action/Video] Happy birthday, grumpypants.

A few times. There's a reason why Terazuma can't stand the sight of me. [It doesn't take long for Tsuzuki to paint the correct spell, although he doesn't bring the paper over to Hisoka and Draco immediately. The ink has to dry. Instead he watches Draco roll around while Hisoka pets him.] He's awfully cute like that. Are you sure we can't keep him?

[Ferretco likes that Hisoka's still petting him at least, so he stops rolling in circles and trills happily, hopping into his lap and lifting up on his hind legs to a taller height. Hi! Play with me!]

And here I thought it was because you're lazy and don't take your job seriously enough. [What. No. No, there will be no playing. He really wouldn't know how to start. But he does bring a little more enthusiasm to his idle scratching.] No we can't keep him like this, Stupid. I took care of you when you got back, didn't I?

He thinks that because I didn't do a proper job on his transformation fuda once. That guy can really hold a grudge. [Speaking of transformation fuda, the one for Draco has dried. Tsuzuki holds it up.] He looks happy like this, though. Maybe we should give him a treat before we try to turn him back.

[His ears twitch at the word "treat", but he's pretty content with flopping in Hisoka's lap to enjoy his pettings and just staring at Tsuzuki. On with it, you silly human. Treat me or fix me.]

Tsuzuki, what did you do to that man? A failed fuda could potentially cause some damage, no? [Yeah, he's just going to be making this face. What could possibly be worse than what Terazuma usually turns into? -- Which, for Ty's benefit, is a giant wolfy-demony-thingy I can't find a scan to link because Mangafox hates happiness and nobody else ever cared enough about him to scan him properly. :|] He's a ferret. Nobody wants to be a ferret. Just do it already. [Even though he'll potentially then have a naked Draco in his lap and that would probably be even more awkward.]

I forgot to add a part to the spell. For a day he went around with a twitchy tail and smoke coming out of his ears. It wasn't pretty. [Absentmindedly, he puts the spell on Hisoka's legs so that Ferretco can walk over to it. But since he mentioned treat, he takes the cupcake out of his pocket.] But it shouldn't cause a problem, since I didn't forget it now. [Tsuzuki unwraps the napkin and breaks off a piece of the cupcake, holding it out.] Come on. Get over here.

[He cautiously sniffs at the cupcake, trampling over Hisoka's lap to get closer and greedily snapping it out of Tsuzuki's hand.]

It will never cease to amaze me how you manage to keep your job. [He carefully plucks the paper between his thumb and forefinger and holds it out for study. He's interested to learn a new spell, but it just wouldn't do to ask Tsuzuki for tutoring.] Idiot. Don't just leave spells lying around.

It's a surprise to me, too. [Hey! He put that there on purpose. Now Draco won't walk on it. But if Hisoka's curious about it, he's going to be lenient and wait. Draco is offered another part of the cupcake, though a tad reluctantly.] Can you tell if Draco's in control of the ferret in any way? He's acting happier than usual.

[That other piece is also quickly snatched up. Om nom cupcake.]

[It won't be a long wait, as Hisoka will relinquish hold of the fuda as soon as he notices Tsuzuki watching him.] I can't tell. I can't really feel him the way he is now.

[Tsuzuki pets Draco, eating the remaining piece of the cupcake himself. No use letting it go to waste. As Hisoka moves to return the fuda, he lifts his hand, touching his fingers to Hisoka's as he takes it.] This wasn't how I expected your birthday to be like.

[Once the cupcake's gone though, he's more interested in the paper above his head. He sits up and attempts to grab it with his teeth, not really paying attention to the actions of the two humans in the room. Eh, it's not important anyway.]

I told you birthdays are just another day. There's no reason to make them special. [He shrugs nonchalantly, much more interested in Tsuzuki's casting than in stopping to talk about his feelings.]

I didn't even get to give you your present. [Tsuzuki keeps the paperspell out of Draco's reach, because he's unsure of how well it'd be cast if the paper is damaged.] Sit still, Draco. [He says that softly, placing the strip of paper gracefully on the ferret's back. Now all they'd have to do was wait and see if it took.]

[His ears twitch first at the word 'present', and then at his name. He sits still long enough for the paper to go on his back and turning his head to see it, squeaking inquisitively before suddenly running from one side of the bed to the other, sending the paper flying onto the mattress.]

I keep telling you I don't need a-- DRACO. What the hell is wrong with you?! [BRB, going to try catching the hyperactive rodent while steering clear of that spell in case it's live.]

Woah! [Tsuzuki jumps up to trap the spell between his fingers, so it won't land on Hisoka or the bouncy ferret.] Did you catch him?

[The problem, Hisoka, is that Ferretco was not sure what the hell you people were doing with that paper. He's in Hisoka's grip though, still wriggling a little but at least he's not too frantic about it.]

Yeah. He's just being an asshole about it. [Squirm all you want, Ferret. You've just lost your freedom privileges.] Is it okay for me to hold him while you do this?

[Tsuzuki frowns in concentration, moving the spell slowly towards the ferret. He doesn't understand that Draco's sentient enough to want an explanation before he's helped.] Just be prepared to let go of him when he turns back. - That reminds me, do we have any blankets?

[When Tsuzuki's hand moves closer with that paper, Ferretco starts squirming again in Hisoka's hand. Nonononono what are you planning on doing with paper? There's a string of squeaks and nervous chattering as his bottom half of his body curls and uncurls against Hisoka's hand.]

[Damn it damn it damn it.] Draco. Seriously. This is for you. [And he's trying to keep the ferret steady, but damn if the little thing isn't ridiculously slippery when he's all skittish and puffed out like that.]

Maybe we should be careful. This paper is easy to tear. [He tilts his head. Draco was nice and calm as long as they had treats.] Hisoka, do you have any snacks in your room?
