[Tsuzuki only made the sauce said dumplings were cooked in, if it's any consolation.] It was an accident.

You're welcome. [See this face, Hisoka? This is how much your partner beams when you're nice to others. Something new steals his attention, though.] Hey, 'Soka? What's in your jacket?

You're welcome! [Link grins at the horribly forced thank you, checking there's room on the table then ducking back into the kitchen to get more foods. At that last part, he will poke his head back out, though.] Didja get yourself a present?

[He was being rather sneaky hiding inside Hisoka's jacket, but what can we say, Draco ~~likes honey. Draco likes toothpaste.~~ likes sweet things and since he doesn't know the potential hazards of the cooking in this house, that cupcake looks pretty good. So don't mind him sticking his nose out and chomping off a piece of Tsuzuki's cupcake he nicked from Link. Om nom nom. What? Clearly this is normal.]

[Goddamnit you motherfucking ferret.] NO. NOTHING. IT'S NOTHING. [He'll just be SHOVING Draco's head back into his jacket where it belongs and trying his best to angle himself out of Link's sight.] Tsuzuki. I need to talk to you. Upstairs.

[Finally someone that appreciates his cooking! Well, Link's. And he got it from the bakery. Which is very lucky for Draco, because that means the muffin won't make him feel sick.] What's the matter?

[Knowing that Hisoka can sometimes feel uncomfortable with gatherings, Tsuzuki doesn't push the subject. He turns his head to Link.] Sorry. We'll be right back!

[And the frosting came out of a packet... it just looks like a mess. Really!]

[Hey, an animal! He thinks, at least. Is that Dieb?] Did you get a pet...? And that's okay, I'll go get some more stuff.

((OOC: Link will just be hanging out downstairs when you guys come back down :) ))

[There's an indignant squeak at the fact that Hisoka's shoving his head back down, but he stays put, curling up into a little ball of fur while Hisoka and Tsuzuki head upstairs. Riiight. Tsuzuki. The only reason he was here! Except that cupcake was kind of tasty. Oh well. He wriggles a little to try and get comfortable again, but it might take a bit.]

Don't worry about it, Link -- it won't take long. [Which is all the brisk dismissal Link's going to get, because he's already leading Tsuzuki up to his room. It's only after he and his partner are relatively alone that he dumps the little white ferret onto his unmade bed. He doesn't even have the presence of mind to be embarrassed that his otherwise spotless room is an unkempt mess, or that there's enough bedding to accommodate two people. It's not even bothering him that he still hasn't established whether or not Draco's a toilet-trained ferret. He's exhausted, he's frantic, there's a fucking party downstairs, and this day needs to hurry up and be over already. He just gives Tsuzuki a helpless stare, as if that would explain everything.]

[Don't tell Draco that Tsuzuki has a cupcake in his pocket, safely wrapped in a napkin. That is saved for later.]

[He obediently follows Hisoka up to their room, staying silent until ferretco is on the bed. Since Hisoka seems like he's at his wit's end because he's gotten a new and adorable pet today, Tsuzuki tries to calm him. He reaches out towards Draco's head to pet him.] Who's this?

[Noticing that Hisoka's tired, Tsuzuki sits down by Draco and gestures that Hisoka should do the same.]

[Ferretco is pleased to be landing in a pile of warm fluffy bedding, and soon he's going to occupy himself by rolling around on it. Once Tsuzuki reaches to pet for him though, he hisses briefly. Draco-brain registers that it's Tsuzuki, but ferret-brain registers that it's somebody willing to love on him. He eventually hops closer and stares up at him, trying to decide what to do here and making another indecipherable chattering noise.]

It's Draco. [He blurts it out, sinking beside Tsuzuki's other side.] I can't-- I don't know what to do for him.

[He'd be clinging and fighting tears if Draco wasn't around. But the wall is still up, and he stares at his lap instead. There is no such thing as a good birthday.]

[Despite the hissing, Tsuzuki patiently offers Draco his hand. When he's sure he won't be bitten, he begins to scratch the ferret behind his ears.] How did he turn into a ferret?

[Poor Hisoka. He's being a brave little toaster, so Tsuzuki touches his shoulder in an innocent caress. Tsuzuki continues the talk out loud, although it's mostly to himself.] Maybe the fuda that transforms Terazuma to his worse half would be useful...

[Scratchings are always super-helpful. Fine, fine, giving in and pushing his head up against Tsuzuki's hand a few times. Yayy scratchings! But as soon as Tsuzuki touches Hisoka's shoulder, the ferret hisses again. That's his human for now, thank you. You are merely here for pettings and for fixing the situation.]

The Malnosso did it to him, as far as I can tell. It's not like he can exactly tell me what went wrong. [He nods appreciatively at Tsuzuki's contact. At least, until Draco decides to be a primadonna.] Oh would you stop already? Give him a chance to think.

Do you remember how to write it? I never got a very good look at it. I'm not very close with Ms. Wakaba.

[Tsuzuki gives Hisoka's shoulder one last squeeze, before he slides his hand down his arm and takes it away. Draco has every right to want the attention while he's trapped in this form. Tsuzuki knows he's possessive, too, but he can't blame him. Hisoka's worth being possessive about, even though Tsuzuki isn't.]

It's been a while since I had to. Can you hold him while I make one? [He can't help himself. One hand brushes the fur on Draco's back.] I'm sorry, Draco. I can't promise it'll work.

[He sniffs at Tsuzuki's hand again when he starts petting, rolling around on the bedding and jumping a bit. Whether it works or not, so what? Let's just try it already.]

Yeah, no problem. [When Tsuzuki fusses around for proper spellpaper and ink, Hisoka reaches out to stroke his hand along the exposed underside of Draco's belly.] Have you done the spell before? [There's a "why" implicit in that. Not that he'll ever admit he enjoys Tsuzuki's stories, but.]

A few times. There's a reason why Terazuma can't stand the sight of me. [It doesn't take long for Tsuzuki to paint the correct spell, although he doesn't bring the paper over to Hisoka and Draco immediately. The ink has to dry. Instead he watches Draco roll around while Hisoka pets him.] He's awfully cute like that. Are you sure we can't keep him?

[Ferretco likes that Hisoka's still petting him at least, so he stops rolling in circles and trills happily, hopping into his lap and lifting up on his hind legs to a taller height. Hi! Play with me!]

And here I thought it was because you're lazy and don't take your job seriously enough. [What. No. No, there will be no playing. He really wouldn't know how to start. But he does bring a little more enthusiasm to his idle scratching.] No we can't keep him like this, Stupid. I took care of you when you got back, didn't I?

He thinks that because I didn't do a proper job on his transformation fuda once. That guy can really hold a grudge. [Speaking of transformation fuda, the one for Draco has dried. Tsuzuki holds it up.] He looks happy like this, though. Maybe we should give him a treat before we try to turn him back.

[His ears twitch at the word "treat", but he's pretty content with flopping in Hisoka's lap to enjoy his pettings and just staring at Tsuzuki. On with it, you silly human. Treat me or fix me.]

Tsuzuki, what did you do to that man? A failed fuda could potentially cause some damage, no? [Yeah, he's just going to be making this face. What could possibly be worse than what Terazuma usually turns into? -- Which, for Ty's benefit, is a giant wolfy-demony-thingy I can't find a scan to link because Mangafox hates happiness and nobody else ever cared enough about him to scan him properly. :|] He's a ferret. Nobody wants to be a ferret. Just do it already. [Even though he'll potentially then have a naked Draco in his lap and that would probably be even more awkward.]

I forgot to add a part to the spell. For a day he went around with a twitchy tail and smoke coming out of his ears. It wasn't pretty. [Absentmindedly, he puts the spell on Hisoka's legs so that Ferretco can walk over to it. But since he mentioned treat, he takes the cupcake out of his pocket.] But it shouldn't cause a problem, since I didn't forget it now. [Tsuzuki unwraps the napkin and breaks off a piece of the cupcake, holding it out.] Come on. Get over here.

[Action] We manage to be on completely opposite schedules. XD
